Whew! It has been a wild ride with the pigs! We were able to buy some metal pig shelters from a local business and they have been perfect!

We moved the pigs out to their pens shortly after installing the shelters and they love them. We also had an opportunity to buy two more full grown Kune Kunes. We were so excited to give our pigs a buddy in their pen. We now have two females and two males. The male, affectionately named “Tank” is going to fill our freezer this autumn. While I know some people may struggle with that, we are a working homestead. All of our animals serve a purpose. We get meat and eggs from the chickens and ducks as well as lard and pork from the pigs. We are loving this spring season of new growth!
